§73.801 of the Federal Communications Commission's rules is a cross reference to regulations outside of Part 73, Subpart G, which are also applicable to Low Power FM broadcast stations. Cross references of this type exist in many subparts in order to prevent duplication of regulations that apply to more than one broadcast service. It is important to remember that other regulations within Subpart G may also cross reference other regulations in Part 73. Regulations that apply to LPFM stations are not just limited to Part 73 but will also include regulations in Part 1, Part 2, Part 11 and Part 17 of Title 47 of the wikipedia:Code of Federal Regulations.

Regulation history

This rule was originally adopted in the original LPFM Report and Order. In 2020 in the Broadcast Public Notice Report and Order, it was amended to add a reference to § 73.3580 to clarify that LPFM stations were subject to public notice requirements.
