Part 73, Subpart G, Section 73.812 is a regulation that clarifies the rounding of Effective Radiated Power (ERP) and antenna heights.

Rounding of effective radiated power

In LPFM, ERP is rounded to the nearest watt. This is to clarify the difference between the rounding rules of the LPFM stations and the rounding rules of other broadcast services that may have different rounding methods.

Rounding of antenna heights

Rounding of height above average terrain, radiation center height and the height of an antenna supporting structure will be rounded to the nearest meter.

Regulatory history

This rule was originally enacted in the 2000 LPFM Report and Order and has not been amended since.
